Welcome to the Cooper JH Choir Family!
The Cooper Junior High Choirs have established a LONG history of musical excellence based on high standards and expectations. Cooper choirs have consistently earned top ratings at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluations as well as with the Director's Choice Music Festivals in North Texas. Cooper JH prides itself on "setting the standard" and each year the Cooper Choirs provide our students opportunities to set the standard in the following areas: Developing their artistic expression and musical skills including: vocal technique, music theory and sight-reading skills, Working with others as well as individual responsibility, pride and integrity. Cooper Choirs will learn challenging choral literature throughout the year and will be provided opportunities to extend their skills by participating in the Wylie ISD Solo Festival which takes place in November, and the Region 25 MS Honor Choir Auditions which take place in early April. All Choir students will be issued a formal choir uniform this year. These Uniforms are to kept at home with the student. They should be hung up and kept neat and clean. We will use these uniforms for our Winter Concert, UIL Performances and our Spring Festival performance. Each student is expected to pay the uniform rental fee. Students will need to provide BLACK DRESS SHOES and boys will need to have black socks and a black belt as well.
All uniforms will be collected at the end of the year for professional cleaning. Uniforms that are lost or have been permanently damaged will need to be replaced at the following costs: Dress $70 Shirt $20 Black Pants $30 |
