Memorize your audition. It shows this is important to you.
Think about why the character is singing. Show motivation with your body and your voice. Don't stand still. This is not a voice recital. Move your body.
Be prepared to slate. My name is...... I am singing...
Be prepared to answer questions about your contract. It is not an interrogation. We simply want to understand what you wrote or be sure you completed it.
Don't start or end your audition with excuses. It shows that this is not very important to you. We are also less inclined to give you our full attention.
Please ask questions. The directors want to see you do well. Ask us. Your friends have not been in many shows. We have directed many many shows. Choose who you listen to wisely.
